Children at Collis grow a variety of produce in the garden from herbs, tomatoes, onions, to pumpkins, strawberries and courgettes. Additionally, the school kitchen regularly uses the herbs and has been known to make pumpkin soup too for everyone to enjoy!
Recently children from years 1 and 2 also took part in ‘School food matters’ project. This project was in partnership with Petersham Nurseries and aims to bring together the two life skills of cooking and growing your own foods. Children grew herbs, tomatoes and shallots and then a chef came to school and helped them create the most amazing pizza!
