This website is part of a ‘Curriculum Project’ funded by Education Richmond to bring together practical implementation suggestions for the new primary curriculum (from September 2014).
It is aimed at senior school leaders and subject leaders who have been tasked with the job of implementing the new primary curriculum.
The intention is to provide a succinct overview of the key changes without unnecessary duplication of existing materials provided by the Department for Education and others. The main focus is the sharing of good quality examples and the exemplification of existing practice and case studies.
Schools and teachers that have written and contributed to this work do not always claim that they represent the ‘best’ or ‘outstanding’ practice and many see this as ‘work in progress’ as they further refine and develop the curriculum to meet the needs of their children. The examples are presented in the spirit that they may be of interest, spark ideas and become something that colleagues might wish to further adapt, develop or refine. We hope that this website might also inspire colleagues to contribute to the site in future as we all collectively move towards implementation in September 2014.
